CAPTION ONLY: TRAIN PLUNGES AFTER SLIDE WIPES OUT BRIDGE

A train car lies at the bottom of a ravine after several cars from a train plunged 130 feet into the gorge in western Austria. At least four people died and about 100 were injured. A rockslide collapsed a railway bridge minutes before the Intercity Train 566 from Vienna to Bregenz reached it. The locomotive and three coaches plummeted into the ravine. The rockslide, which occurred near Braz in the Vorarlberg province, blocked roads near the accident site, slowing rescue workers. Four helicopters assisted in the effort. A fourth rail car hung over the embankment. It and other cars were pulled to safety by a diesel engine.
