DEATH: KENT N. CHRISTENSEN

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Kent Norman Christensen, returned home to the arms of his Heavenly Father on August 11, 1995.

He was born September 13, 1927 in Provo, Utah to Marinus and Anna Madsen Christensen. He married his soulmate and eternal companion, Cheryl "Cheri" Lorraine Blackwell on March 29, 1974; solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, June 24, 1976.He lived a full, joyous, happy life on the earth, always giving of himself to everyone. He found his greatest joy in serving his Father in Heaven and all those he loved. He enjoyed great artistic gifts from his Heavenly Father and loved to sing and paint. He was a man of great faith and served his Heavenly Father in many callings. He especially loved all children and felt a great affinity for them. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him. He truly was a man that could be said of him "To know him is to love him." He was and continues to be a humble servant of his Savior Whom he knows and loves.

He is survived by his wife, Cheri; son, Eric (Connie); daughters, Diana (Dale), Amy, Peggy (Burke), Karen (Dan) and Linda (Eric); sister, Lillian (Noal); sister-in-law, Dorothy; grandchildren; great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews, whom he all loved dearly. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Max, son, Michael and daughter, Camila.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 12 noon, at the South Jordan West Stake Center, 4800 West Skye Drive (9585 South). Family and friends may call at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, in Sandy, Monday evening, 7-9 p.m., and at the stake center on Tuesday, from 10:45-11:45 a.m., prior to the services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
