DEATH: LEE THOMAS SIMPSON

Lee Thomas Simpson, age 74, passed away peacefully August 11, 1995, at his home in Salt Lake City.

Born March 4, 1921, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Thomas Herschell and Vera Edwards Simpson. He married Luana Debenham on January 10, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Thier marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Luana preceded him in death on April 27, 1990. Lee served in the army during World War II. He also worked for many years and retired from Kennecott Copper. He found many friends during his later years while riding the UTA bus and going to the spa.Survived by two sons and one daughter, Wayne (Dianna) Simpson, Weslee (Judy) Simpson, Mary Jane (Jack) Hargreaves, all of Salt Lake City; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his son, Kenny, grandson D.J.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15, 1995, 12:00 noon, at the Valley View 4th Ward, 2125 East Evergreen Ave. (3435 So.). Friends may call Monday evening from 7 to 8 pm at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 South 2300 East, and at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 to 11:45am. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
