Jaimie Cogswell, 16, one of three Cottonwood Heights girls hit early last Thursday morning by a car, has been transferred out of intensive care at University Hospital, where she remained in serious but stable condition Monday.

The teen, who suffered multiple fractures, abdominal injuries and head injuries, was placed in a regular patient care room Sunday, a hospital spokeswoman said.Cogswell's two close friends, Elizabeth Phillips and Jennifer Neddo, both 16 and also Brighton High students, died when they were hit by a car driven by a 16-year-old unlicensed driver.
