DEATH: MARJORIE FOWLES VANCE

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marjorie Fowles Vance, died peacefully on August 13, 1995, in Bountiful, Utah, where she had been living with a daughter.

Born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1902, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to John and Emma Sorenson Fowles. Married Glen Elroy Vance June 20, 1922, in Fairview, Utah. Later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He preceded her in death in 1974.She was an active member of the LDS Church and held many church positions, mainly in the Relief Society. She was an ordinance worker with her husband in the Manti LDS Temple. She made beautiful quilts, woven rugs and crocheted items, and was an outstanding cook and homemaker. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Maurine (Elroy) Brady of Kaysville, Lorraine (Myrth) Miner of Fairview, Kenneth (Cherie) and Jerald of West Valley City, Allen Lamont (Norma) and Winnie (Art) Neilson of Bountiful; daughter-in-law, Ruth R. Vance of Mt. Pleasant; 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Christensen; brothers, Don and Robert Fowles; brother-in-law, Lyle Vance.

Preceded in death by son, Bert; granddaughters, Vickie Jo Vance, Jenny Miner, Emily Vance; grandson, Lane Vance; brother, Weldon Fowles; sisters, Helen Hardy and Catherine Drage.

Funeral services will be held August 16, 1995, 12 noon, Fairview 2nd Ward, 100 North 100 East, Fairview, Utah, where friends may call from 10:45-11:45 a.m. Interment, Fairview City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary.
