CAPTION ONLY: PROTESTING JAPAN'S WWII ATROCITIES IN S. KOREA

A South Korean woman who lost a relative after he was conscripted into the Japanese Imperial army in World War II fights her way through police surrounding the Japanese Embassy in Seoul on Monday, the eve of the 50th anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japanese occupation. Hundreds of elderly South Koreans hurled eggs at the embassy in an emotional protest. About 300 people demanded Japan's "sincere" apology and compensation for atrocities committed during the war.
