S.L. NURSE ELECTED TO LEAD OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH BOARD

Francie Barber, director of Occupational Health Service Line for HealthWorks, has been elected as a director of the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses Inc.

The 12-member board serves as the certification board for occupational health nurses. Board members meet three times a year and include occupational health nurses from throughout the United States and Canada."It is definitely an honor to have been elected to the board," said Barber, a Salt Lake resident. "Having gone to my first meeting I found myself among some of the most intelligent and committed nurses in the country."

Occupational health is a combination of medicine and the law, Barber said. Barber received her R.N. degree from Holy Cross Nursing College, and her master's degree from the University of Phoenix. She has worked at HealthWorks for the past five years.
