Edward Blaine Simpson, 73, Murray, died August 14, 1995, of heart failure.

He was born February 23, 1922, in East Millcreek, the son of Edward L. and Eva Rynearson Simpson. He enlisted in US Air Force and received an honorable discharge after World War II before marrying Jacquelyn Anderson Simpson on August 29, 1950. Together they owned and operated Tru Tek Dental Lab for 49 years.He was a member of the LDS Church and the Murray Elks Club. His passions were golf, gardening, music, camping, bowling, ping-pong, people and a good joke. He was known as "Grandpa Simpson" in the neighborhood.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, two daughters and one son, Vicky (Jay) Haws, Highland; Sharon Seely; Morry Simpson; sister and brother, Janice (Karl) Shakespeare; Grant Simpson, Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 17, 1995, at 11 a.m. in the Murray 24th Ward, 755 East Three Fountains Dr. Friend may call Wednesday 6-8 pm. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State and Thursday at the church 10-10:45 a.m. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
