WALDHOLTZ TO CUT BACK AS BLESSED EVENT NEARS

At the urging of her doctor and her unborn baby, Rep. Enid Wald- holtz, R-Utah, has decided to cut back her schedule and rest as much as possible during Congress' summer recess.

"Unlike the U.S. Congress, my baby seems to be in a great hurry to finish things ahead of time," Waldholtz said in a statement Wednesday. Her chief of staff, Kate Watson, said Waldholtz has eliminated most planned work from her schedule to rest for the next few weeks in Utah until Congress reconvenes after, ahem, Labor Day.

Watson said Waldholtz plans to continue voting and performing other congressional duties in Washington when the House reconvenes on Sept. 5. The baby is due on Sept. 21.
