DEATH: CARL HENRY NIELSEN

Carl Henry Nielsen, 87, died Aug. 15, 1995 at his home, of natural causes.

He was born February 8, 1908 in Brigham City, Utah, a son of Andrew Martin and Anna Christina Rasmussen Nielsen. He married Jennie Marble, June 28, 1932 in the Logan LDS Temple. Henry had served as a missionary in Denmark, counselor in the bishopric, in the High Priest Group presidency, and five years in the Danish Genealogy name extraction library. He also played organ at the Brigham Tabernacle as part of the guided tour program. He was president of the Utah chapter of the National Assoc. of Postmasters, Senior Citizens Council, the National Assoc. of Retired Federal Employees and the local chapter of AARP. He was a County Clerk from 1934-1941 and Postmaster in Brigham City for 21 years.Surviving are his wife, of Brigham City; two sons, Earl H. Nielsen, of Bountiful; Rees C. Nielsen, of Pleasant View; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ira A. Nielsen.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Brigham 4th Ward, 25 North 300 East, with Dave Ellis officiating. Friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Olsen-Myers Mortuary in Brigham City. Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
