A library could be going up in the spot where Rodney King got beat down. Los Angeles officials are proposing to bring books to the site of King's infamous videotaped beating by police four years ago.
"It's unfortunate that the site has the historical relevance that it does," said city councilman Richard Alarcon. "It's unfortunate because this community is trying to put that incident behind it.""I just think it's a good location. It has nothing to do with King," he said. "The community needs a library."
