DEATH: GLENONA DUCKWORTH (NONIE) HATCH

Glenona Duckworth (Nonie) Hatch, 90 years old, beloved mother and grandmother, died Wednesday, August 16, 1995 in Bountiful, Utah.

Born July 24, 1905 in Salt Lake City, Glenona was the daughter of William Chipendale and Edith Adams Duckworth. Married Reed Moss Hatch on June 21, 1928 in the Salt Lake Temple. He died in 1954 while serving in the Bountiful 9th Ward Bishopric.Nonie has been active in the church most of her life. Before her marriage she was a Supervisor of the Junior Sunday School in the Forest Dale ward for many years. After her marriage she moved to South Bountiful where she was active in the MIA, Sunday School and Ward Choir. At the time of her death she was a Branch Relief Society Teacher at the LDS Hospital.

Glenona was a graduate of LDS High School and the University of Utah. She was a 15 year Career Teacher in the Bountiful School District. She was active in the PTA while teaching and as her children were growing up.

She is survived by a son, Gilbert Adams Hatch, Salem, Oregon; and a daughter, Ellen Hatch Hartvigsen, Bountiful; sister, Edith Duckworth Young, Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren: Douglas Reed Hatch, David Alfred Hatch, Daniel Lawrence Hatch, Deborah Hatch Ritter and Don Adams Hatch, all of Oregon; Robert Scott Sheriff, Riverton, Utah; and Reed B. Sheriff, Bountiful; and nine beautiful great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 21, 1995 at 1 p.m. in the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Monday morning from 11:45-12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
