James F. (Jim) Walker, 67, passed away August 17, 1995.
Born July 14, 1928 to George William and Elsie Mae Widdowson Walker. Jim was born in Salt Lake City, but grew up and went to school in England. His parents were converts to the LDS Church, but returned to England during the Depression years.When World War II broke out, since he was a U.S. citizen he returned to Salt Lake City in 1949 and lived with his aunt.
Married Barta McLean, July 17, 1950. He was in the U.S. Army 1950-1952. He worked in construction for many years. He was a partner in West Steel from 1969-1981. He retired from Mark Steel in June 1994.
Survived by wife, Barta; four children, Sharon (Jerome) Esau; Kathy (Paul) Kafer; Bill Walker; Rusty (Michelle) Walker; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 22, 1995, 12 noon, Mt. Jordan 2nd Ward, 9331 So. 300 East, Sandy. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road and Tuesday 10:45 a.m.-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Redwood Memorial Estates.
