Former Miami Dolphins' tight end (1978-1989) Bruce Hardy has returned to Utah to become tight-end coach at St. George's Dixie College.
Hardy, 39, who holds Dolphin career tight end receiving records, has been coaching in the Arena Football League, with the Mass Mauraders (1994), and the Arizona Rattlers (1995). The former Arizona State (1974-78), and Bingham High (1972-74) star coached the receiving corps with the Mauraders, and was the defensive coordinator with the Rattlers, with former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Danny White, who is the head Rattler coach."I always wanted to pursue a college coaching career, and I'm thankful for the opportunity that coach Greg Croshaw has given me," said Hardy.
Hardy joining the Dixie College football staff gives the Rebels three former NFL players - Gordon Jolley (Detroit and Seattle), Croshaw (Green Bay), and Hardy.
Hardy and his wife, Joanie, have four children, Nathan, Adam, Aaron, and Matthew, will make St. George their home.
