We celebrate the peaceful passing of Russ Weaver, born March 2, 1920 in Durand, Illinois, to Jay E. and Amy Merlet Weaver. He passed away at home on August 19, 1995.

Married LaRue Dorris Quinn in Salt Lake City on October 15, 1943; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.He is survived by his wife, LaRue; five children and spouses: Judith and Steven Jensen, Jay and Sheila Weaver, Dennis and JoLynne Weaver, Doug and Lynette Weaver, and Mary Weaver; 19 grandchildren; 5-3/4 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert E. Weaver; and sister, Mary Minahan. Preceded in death by a son, Merl James Weaver; and two brothers.

Funeral services Thursday, Aug. 24, at 11 a.m. in the Mt. Jordan 3rd Ward Chapel, 8950 South 400 East. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, and Thursday 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
