DEATH: STEWART L. CARLSON

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away August 19, 1995, at the age of 78.

Born April 1, 1917, to Lars William and Vinnie Anderson Carlson in Salt Lake City, Utah. Stewart married Cherrill Johnson, April 23, 1943 in the Manti Temple. Stewart worked as a machinist in defense work during World War II. He was a member of the High Priest Quorum in the Union 2nd Ward. He enjoyed working in the Jordan River Temple since its opening. He was a general contractor and worked in sales for 12 years for Consolidated Building Supply. He was a member of the Wasatch Trail Riders and the Union Lions Club. Stewart especially enjoyed outdoor activities with his family, ie: horseback riding, hunting, camping, fishing, boating and golfing.He is survived by his loving wife, Cherrill and children, Gail (Gary) Stoddard; Todd (Shauna); Brad (Elizabeth) Carlson; Stacy (Mike) Hurst; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Three sisters: Isabel Widerburg, Cathryn Weekes, Muriel Reese and a brother, Harvey Carlson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Roger and Gordon Carlson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 23, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Union 2nd Ward, 1535 East Creek Road. Friends may call at the Mt. View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South, Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the ward.
