Two Utah Valley State College basketball players recently received prestigious awards from the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA).

UVSC's Ryan Anderson and Mandy Ney were chosen to an elite team of scholar-athletes, representing the top scholars in the nation among those who participate in two-year college athletics. Only 18 athletes were honored total.Anderson, who logged a perfect 4.0 grade-point average last fall and had a cumulative 3.84 average at UVSC, was named to the NATYCAA Scholar-Athlete Team. Ney, who had a 3.86 grade-point-average last year and a cumulative 3.62, received honorable mention.
