Florence Bergan Peterson, age 74, passed away August 19, 1995 in Murray, Utah.
Born in Salt Lake City on May 3, 1921. She was the sixth and youngest child of Richard F. and Minna Jackstein Bergan, who immigrated to the U.S. from Germany. She attended Granite High School. Married William Bars; later divorced. Florence later met and married her sweetheart, John (Pete) Myron Peterson. They spent many happy years together. He preceded her in death.Florence's life revolved around her family. She enjoyed needlework, fishing, trips to Wendover and weekly card games. She was an avid gardener and kept an immaculate yard.
She will be missed by many, but perhaps most of all by her remaining sister, Helen Blood; her bosom buddy, Mary Lee; and by Doug, she was his only constant.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynda Peterson of Tucson, Ariz.; Pat Johnson of Salt Lake; her sister, Helen Blood; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Preceded in death her husband, John; brothers, Richard and Herbert Bergan; sisters, Ruth Statham, Bernice Nelson, and grandson, Mark Robinson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 24, 1995 at 11 a.m., Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Sunset Gardens.
