BOX ELDER APPOINTS JUDGES FOR SPECIAL JAIL BOND ELECTION

Thirty-three election judges and two information people have been appointed by the Box Elder County Commission to serve in the Aug. 29 special jail bond election.

According to Box Elder County Recorder/Clerk LuAnn Adams, an election normally requires 93 election judges.Following state law, the county consolidated up to four districts for the special election. That means fewer judges are needed, saving the county $4,000.

Adams said her office has received calls regarding the consolidation of districts and reminds voters that the consolidation is only for the special election Aug. 29.
