I am looking forward to the year 2002 and the Olympics being here in Salt Lake City. Like many, I want us to put forth the effort now to make a decent impression on tourists and the general public so people will enjoy coming here.
With all the weeds and dry grass growing high along the freeways, it appears we aren't taking interest or pride in our community. We gripe about a tax increase, perhaps because we see no cleanup crews making this an attractive place in which to live.I am tired of making excuses for the poor use of public funds. It is our money and our home. We will have many visitors before it's time for the Olympics. How about showing us the courtesy of allowing a clean place in which to live?
