The Utah Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a summer workshop on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Olympus Hotel in Salt Lake City. Chapter regents will meet at 9 a.m., and registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Mrs. Harrison Powley, Utah state regent, will preside. "Our Heritage Is the Key to Our Future" is the theme.

Two local members will be honored for their national recognition. Honorary state regent Mrs. Hurschell Urie, Ogden, has been appointed national vice chairman of the Community Service Award Committee, Southwest Division. Honorary state regent Mrs. Fred Astroth, Salt Lake City, has been appointed national vice chairman of the American History Committee, Southwest Division.Luncheon speaker (scheduled at 12:30 p.m.) is Jane Beckwith, an English teacher at Delta High School and lifelong Delta resident. She will speak on "Artifacts and Artwork: The History of Topaz." The lecture is courtesy of the Utah Humanities Council.
