DEATH: MARCELLA M. CANNON

Loving mother, grandmother and sister, Marcella Murphy Cannon "Nannie" passed away August 24, 1995.

She was born September 3, 1900 in Salt Lake City, to Hyrum and Sarah Ann Cook Murphy.Married Milton Bennion Cannon on May 21, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by President David O. McKay. Milton died May 8, 1974.

Marcella taught school for 29 years in the Salt Lake School District and substituted until she was 80. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She loved being with her family and spending time in her cabin on the Weber River.

She was a member of the LDS Church and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Survived by two sons; Milton M. Cannon (Marian), Calvin M. Cannon (Karen); two daughters, Jeanne Garrison (John), Donna Livingston (Dick), all of Salt Lake; 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Eastes W. Murphy (Karin), Escondido, Calif. Preceded in death by a brother, Clifford and a sister, Ruth Woodruff.

We would like to thank the staff at Garden Terrace for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 28, 1995 at 12 noon in the Valley View 6th Ward Chapel, 3900 South 2000 East. Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and at the ward Monday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
