Sun Valley businessman Francis "Buddy" Feltman, who staged his disappearance last month, will be billed $13,890 for the search mounted to find him.

Sheriff Walt Femling last week released the cost of the search that started July 11. Feltman later called his wife from Lake Charles, La.The sheriff's office coordinated a widespread search of the Big Wood River after Feltman's truck was located below Magic Reservoir. Feltman, 56, owner of Sport Vision, called his wife eight days later from Louisiana, where he had driven in a vehicle reported stolen months earlier from the Twin Falls Airport.

Feltman's family has offered to pay for the search. The prosecutor's office is considering filing charges.

The sheriff said after Feltman's family picked him up, he went through psychological evaluation before being released from a Utah facility.
