DEATH: V. MAURINE CASTO ALLEN

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, V. Maurine Allen, passed away Sunday, August 27, 1995, from cancer.

She was born July 1, 1920, to Ferdinand M. and Velvaline Dalton Casto in Wendell, Idaho. She was raised in Salina, Utah, where she married Wells Draper in 1937 and was widowed in 1938. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She married Joseph Charles Allen, June 5, 1943. He preceded her in death after 49 years of marriage. She retired from Beneficial Life Insurance.She was active in the LDS Church, serving in Relief Society president, Primary president, stake Primary presidency, den leader and teacher. At age 70, she was once again called to be Relief Society president, serving for three years. She loved Israel and visited the land where Jesus walked, with her brother Lynn and friend, Gary Gillespie. Her testimony and compassionate service to many left a legacy of love to all who knew her.

She has been survived by her children, Renee (Richard), Sharon Wells, Joseph Lynn (Janene), Dennis (Jennene), Eileen (Ron), Shauna (Scott), Jon (Dianne), Ron (Julie), Brent (Joy); two brothers and a sister, Lynn D. Casto (Myrtle), Mar Dell Casto (Mariles), and Lera Healy (Richard); 49 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Weds, August 30, 11 a.m., Granite Park Stake Chapel, 601 E. Mansfield Ave (3115 So.). Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tues at Memorial Estates Mortuary, 5850 So. 9th East and Weds, 10-10:45 at the church. Interment: Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Rd.
