3 GRIZZLIES ELECTROCUTED IN YELLOWSTONE

Three young male grizzly bears were killed recently after coming into contact with a downed power line in the Hayden Valley area of Yellowstone National Park, officials said.

The bears appeared to have died on separate days during the past two weeks, but their bodies were not discovered until Monday, when visitors riding horses in the area found them.Park Rangers and Montana Power personnel investigated the site Tuesday and said the bears, a 200-250-pound subadult, a 260-pound adult and a 350-pound adult had been electrocuted.
