DEATH: STEVE L. WEST

Steve L. West, 84, beloved father, and father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away August 27, 1995 of natural causes.

Born December 23, 1910 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Leonard Hyrum and Sarah Ellen Thorne West. Married Marjorie Langford in Huntington, Calif. on April 25, 1937. She preceded him in death November 30, 1994. As a young boy, he became a jack of all trades, doing many different jobs which prepared him for the future. He lived in California for many years and drove truck. He moved to Utah and hauled coal from Price, Utah to many people in Salt Lake County. Steve was a truck and forklift mechanic after retiring from truck driving. In addition to making toys for his great-grandchildren, he became skilled at making frames for his wife's art work. Steve was good to people and was always willing to help and was a member of the LDS Church.Survivors: daughter, Stevie Carr and husband Fred, Riverton; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer; sister, Thelma. Preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy West Green.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 30, 1995 at 3 p.m. in the Riverton City Cemetery, 13200 South 1500 West. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Tuesday, 6-8 p.m.
