The Utah Grizzlies have announced their preseason schedule for their inaugural campaign in the Beehive State. Coach Butch Goring's IHL Turner Cup champs are set to open training camp on Sept. 12 at the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center.

Along with daily practices, the Grizzlies will hit the ice for four preseason games. The first match-up will pit Utah vs. the newly created San Francisco Spiders on Sept. 16 at the Oakland Coliseum.The Grizz's first Utah appearance will be against the Las Vegas Thunder at 7 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the Ogden Ice Sheet. The Phoenix Roadrunners also journey to Utah for a 7 p.m. game on Sept. 22. Utah will then travel to St. Cloud, Minn., on Sept. 23 to challenge the Minnesota Moose.

Training camp will conclude on Sept. 28 as the Grizzlies prepare for the first faceoff of the regular season the next night in Phoenix. The Grizz's first Utah appearance in the regular season will be the following weekend, Oct. 6-7.
