Jackie Joyner-Kersee has won three Olympic gold medals in track and field, but her hero is a woman who refused to move.
Rosa Parks, who helped spark the civil rights movement, by defying a white bus driver's order to the back of the bus, showed people they have a voice, Joyner-Kersee told Parade magazine's Aug. 7 edition."She proved that people can be strong if they work together," said the 33-year-old athlete.
