ARTISANS INVITED TO SELL WARES AT TUACAHN FEST

The first-ever Tuacahn Folklife Festival, to be held on St. George Marathon weekend Oct. 6-7, is seeking artists and craftsmen interested in selling their wares.

Sara Urquhart, director, said "no-commission" booth space outside Tuacahn's new Center for the Arts in Ivins is $150 for crafts and artworks and $200 for food vendors. Sept. 10 is the deadline to reserve space with an application and a non-refundable fee of $15.00.The free-admission, two-day event, patterned after the Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle, is designed to provide a forum where artists can display and sell arts and crafts to an estimated 10,000 visitors.
