UTAH WRITERS ROUNDUP TO INCLUDE 2 N.Y. AUTHORS AMONG SPEAKERS

Authors Ruth Bonapace and Laurie E. Liss, both from New York, will be two of the guest speakers at the annual Fall Roundup of the League of Utah Writers, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 22-23 at the Provo Park Hotel.

Bonapace, senior articles editor at First for Women magazine, has worked as a reporter and editor for the Associated Press, Woman's World, the New York Times Herald Record and the Long Island Newsday.Liss has been a literary agent since 1988. She has sold a wide variety of nonfiction books on subjects ranging from tennis to women's studies, and works of fictions, both commercial and literary.

Other guest lecturers at the event include Gerald N. Lund, author of "The Work and The Glory" series; Richard Paul Evans, author of "The Christmas Box;" Clair Rees, magazine writer and editor; and Robert Kirby, author, editor and columnist.

The League of Utah Writers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the excellence of writing in Utah.

The dues are $20 annually for membership in the league, however the fall roundup is open to both members and nonmembers.
