The City Council on Tuesday voted unanimously to annex 615 acres of Dimple Dell Regional Park, including a 72-acre portion that bisects the White City area.
The council included a provision that would allow the White City portion of the park, between 700 and 1300 East, to be de-annexed should White City residents opt to incorporate."We would adjust the boundary, we would support that," Mayor Tom Dolan said Wednesday.
The park is zoned to preserve its open space.
The Salt Lake County Boundary Commission on Aug. 3 dismissed objections by White City residents, ruling that Sandy may annex the area if it wants to.
