Marshall Morrise, president of Capsoft Development Corp., will be the featured speaker at the Utah Valley Entrepreneurial Forum luncheon Thursday at 11:45 a.m. in the Utah Valley State College ballroom.

While an undergraduate computer science student, Morrise began working on document assembly software at the BYU Law School in January 1979. He graduated in 1980 and went on to earn a master's degree in instructional science. In 1987, he formed Sirrus Systems Inc., now Capsoft.In late 1993, Capsoft released a new, lightweight Windows document assembly product called Hot-Docs. HotDocs is a word processor add-on that allows WordPerfect, Microsoft word, and Ami Pro users to build intelligent templates for assembling routine documents. In addition to law firms, HotDocs is now being used in medical practices, real estate companies, financial institutions, and other professional businesses.
