DEATH: CHARLES WILSON VIRDEN

Charles Wilson Virden, age 78, died August 6, 1995 at his home.

Born November 7, 1916 in Price, Utah, the son of Charles Roscoe and Josephine Mae Kelley Virden. Married Dorothy Margaret Thomas, May 25, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She died October 9, 1991. Member United Methodist Church. Lifelong resident of Carbon County. Served U.S. Army, World War II in the Pacific. Life member VFW Miners Post #2379, Price. Former employee Utah Fuel at Clear Creek and later with U.S. Steel at Columbia Coal Mine as an office manager.Survived by: daughter and spouse, Margaret "Peggy" and R.W. Carr, Brigham City; brother and spouse, James and Phyllis Virden, Florence, Oregon; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Inez and Frank Gigliotti, Price; sisters-in-law, Donna Thomas, Price; and Louise Thomas, Long Beach, Calif.; nieces and nephews, James and Elizabeth Virden; Michael and Greg Thomas; Bill Gigliotti, Debi Barney, Billie and Barbara Thomas.

Funeral service Thursday, August 10, 1995, 10 a.m., Price United Methodist Church. Family will be at the church Thursday one hour prior to service. Friends may call Mitchell Chapel daily from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
