The Utah Grizzlies dropped their first exhibition game of the preseason 4-1 to the first-year San Francisco Spiders late Saturday night at the Oakland Coliseum.
The Grizzlies will continue their training camp with morning practices both today and Tuesday. Practices begin at 8:30 a.m. and are open to the public at the Cottonwood Heights Center.Fans will get their first chance to see the Grizzlies in Utah this Wednesday as they play a preseason game against the Las Vegas Thunder. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Ogden Ice Sheet.
The regular season begins in Phoenix at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29.
The Grizzlies received a boost when Niklas Andersson, a 5-foot-9, 175-pound winger who played a key part on Denver's Turner Cup championship squad last year, reported to camp Sunday.
