The Utah Symphony Guild has announced its officers for the 1995-96 season.

Adrienne Coombs is president; Sherry Poulson, executive vice president; Linda Richards, administrative vice president; Eve Bertran, membership vice president; Kathy Johnson, education vice president; Mitzi Brady, youth guild chair; Pat Hales, social vice president; Judy Spencer, recording secretary; Laurie Sutherland, corresponding secretary; Sally Quinn, treasurer; Lisa Johnson, publicity director; Shirley Sargent, past president; and Brent Lange, staff adviser.The purpose of the Symphony Guild is to support the Utah Symphony financially, educationally and socially. - CONSTITUTION WEEK - Utah Gov. Mike Leavitt has signed a proclamation declaring Sept. 17-23 Constitution Week. Ellen Powley, state regent, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and Cindy Toone, Utah State Constitution Week chairman, met with the governor for the signing.

The NSDAR was instrumental in convincing Congress to pass Public Law 915 on Aug. 2, 1956, in which the president is directed to designate the week of Sept. 17-23 as Constitution Week annually.

The NSDAR was founded in 1890 and the Utah State Society was founded in 1897. The Utah State Society theme is "Our Heritage Is Key to Our Future" through preserving history, providing education and promoting patriotism. The organization welcomes women who are descended from an American patriot who fought for American independence during the American Revolution. - WOMEN IN BUSINESS COUNCIL - The Women in Business Council of the Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Oakridge Country Club, 1492 Shepard Lane, Farmington.

Special guest will be Betty Wight, who will present the Wight House fall and winter fashion show.

- DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION - The Salt Lake Valley chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, will hold a yard sale on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4644 S. 2080 West. Proceeds from the sale will fund chapter scholarships and youth programs.
