Richard Elton Oveson, 42, died September 23, 1995, in a Salt Lake City hospital after a long battle with diabetes.

Richard was born January 5, 1953, in Price, Utah, to Ellis C. and RaLene Cramer Oveson. He married Debra Joene Guymon in the Provo LDS Temple.As an active member of the LDS Church, he served an honorable mission in London, England, and in numerous positions, including high council, bishopric, elders' quorum presidency and most recently as the stake Young Men's president.

He was very active in the community, serving on the Cleveland City Council and helped start the Cleveland Days celebration. He loved people and helped many young people learn to ride horses. He loved camping, fishing and riding horses with his family.

Richard is survived by his wife, Debra of Cleveland, and children, Aimee Dawn Montoya (Jeff) of Cedar City, Richard Heath, Toni Dee and Seth Donovan, all of Cleveland. Also survived by his mother, RaLene Oveson of Cleveland; brothers, Paul (Sandra) Oveson, Lydell (Kaye) Oveson, Jerry (Cindy) Oveson, and Brian (Pam) Oveson; sister, Marty (Martin) Wilson; and grandmother, Venice Cramer of Elmo.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis; and a sister, Genene.

Also survived by his other family members who love him, Dale and Darlene Guymon, Darwin (Marilyn) Guymon, Danna (Wes) Gray, Darlene (Lou) Chase, Darce (Peggy) Guymon, Demar (Janice) Guymon and Darla (Scott) Wilson.

Funeral services wil be held Tuesday, September 26, 1995, at 10 a.m. in the Cleveland LDS Chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Fausett Mortuary in Price will remain open until 9 p.m. for those who would like to sign the register. Burial, Cleveland Cemetery.
