The city's two political parties have announced City Council nominees for the November election. There are three four-year seats and one two-year seat.
The Pinecone Party has Jeff Johansen, Gerald LeBaron and Robert Purdy running for four-year seats. Duard Pederson is the party's two-year candidate.For the Sagebrush Party, Anna "Tina" LePendu, Dan Phelps and and Vaughn Francis are the four-year candidates. Terry Stephens is running for the two-year seat.
LePendu and Johansen are incumbents. Richard D. Muhlestein isn't running for re-election.
Unlike most cities, Fruit Heights does not have regular signups for City Council candidates. The city has divided itself into two sections, one for each political party.
Each party held nominating conventions in City Hall.
