As part of the observances of National Domestic Violence Month, the Women's Center at Utah State University is participating in the national Clothesline Project. During the day through Oct. 16, the public is invited to gather to decorate shirts.
Each shirt symbolizes an act of violence against the person who is making the shirt. Relatives and friends of those who have been killed by domestic violence are also invited to make a shirt in her memory. The display - a clothesline full of shirts dedicated to breaking the silence and ending the abuse - will hang from Oct. 14 to 16 in the Taggart Student Center International Lounge, on the USU campus.
For details on how to make a shirt, call the Women's Center, 797-1728.
