A boy dressed in a costume casts his vote for peace in Bogota, Colombia, Friday. Children - some wearing school uniforms and others in bright costumes - cast votes Friday all across the South American nation, one of the world's most violent countries, in a referendum organized by the U.N. Children's Fund to highlight children's rights. Organizers of the event expected more than 3 million children - from the most exclusive private academies to schools in the poorest slums - to cast their ballots.
