A Salt Lake County man has been charged with attempted homicide.

According to 3rd District Court documents, on Oct. 13, the suspect, 23, and a woman drove to an area near Solitude Ski Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon in the woman's car. The suspect began to hug the woman and then hit her in the face with his fist. The suspect told the woman she was going to die and tried to choke her, the documents say.
