HIGH-FLYING MOVIE DEAL FOR CRICHTON'S `AIRFRAME'

Michael Crichton's newest novel hasn't landed on bookstore shelves yet, but it's already generating sky-high prices in Hollywood.

"Airframe," about an investigator's efforts to discover the true story behind a plane hit by deadly turbulence, will go on sale in December.The movie rights already have been purchased by Touchstone Pictures for $8 million to $10 million, sources told Daily Variety.
