The latest filings show that dozens of contributors to the Democratic National Committee listed Democratic headquarters as their address, U.S. News & World Report reported Friday.
In an article to be published Monday, the magazine said the committee's address was listed in filings to the Federal Election Commission for 27 people and 10 corporations that gave a total of almost $300,000 to the organization.Democratic National Committee spokeswoman Amy Weiss Tobe said the repetition of addresses was because of a clerical error and all the contributions were legal.
"It's a clerical error, it shouldn't have been done, and we're in the process of correcting our FEC filings," she told Reuters.
