In his commercials as a candidate for the position of attorney general for the state of Utah, Scott Burns states he has successfully prosecuted over 4,000 cases in his 10 years as county attorney. According to my math, this means at least 1 1/2 cases every working day (weekends and holidays excluded). I wonder when he had time to prepare for all these prosecutions (with the inference that all resulted in convictions) and still find time to advise the other county officials on their legal concerns. He sounds like Superman to me. If these figures are accurate, it seems the people of Iron County need to do a lot of repenting.

It is also interesting that during this same period of time the state was controlled by Republicans both the governor and the Legislature, but according to Burns only the attorney general is responsible for crime. This is a far cry from the position Sen. Dole is taking on increased drug use by teenagers. He says its the president's fault.Isn't it nice that all virtue resides in one political party?
