WOMEN'S SOCCER: Seven goals in 90 minutes over Hawaii Saturday night, gave BYU's women's soccer team the right to host this year's conference championships.

The 7-0 shutout over the University of Hawaii brings the Cougars record to 17-1 and 4-1 in the WAC.

BYU ties San Diego State for first place in the Pacific Division with a 4-1 record, but since the Cougars beat the Aztecs on Thursday night, they will host the championships in Provo, beginning November 6.

The win also gives BYU an undefeated season at home and the shutout was the ninth of the year and the sixth at home.

Shauna Rohbock put the Cougars up 1-0 in the 39th minute of the game as she received a pass from Maren Hendershot, allowing Rohbock to get passed the Hawaii goalkeeper for a goal in the left corner of the net.

Team co-captain Leanne Johnson gave BYU a 2-0 lead a minute into the second half after the ball deflected off a Hawaii defender.

Thirteen minutes later, the Cougars scored four more goals within a six minute period for a 6-0 advantage with goals from Rohbock, Natalyn Orchard, Shannon Kimball and Kelli Allen. Defender Emily Lubeck scored the final goal for BYU in the 80th minute of the game. Freshman Jennifer Love, who leads the WAC in assists, picked up two more in the contest.

The Cougars had a season and school record high 36 shots on goal, 22 of them in the first half.
