Some of the notable performances in Utah high school sports last week:

Football

KYLE LANGSTON, Highland: QB ran 19 yards for a TD and later caught a TD pass in the first overtime of a victory over Skyline. Teammate Morgan Scalley had 112 yards on 16 carries.

JASON ANDERSON, Skyline: Eagle quarterback gained 141 yards rushing and scored two TDs in the loss to Highland.

ERVIN BUTLER, West: Scored all three of the Panther TDs, including a 90-yard kickoff return in a win over Olympus.

BRIAN WORTHLEY, Bountiful: Derailed the Davis Darts with 124 yards rushing on 12 carries - including a 78-yard TD jaunt.

JARED BURKMAN, Cottonwood: Helped the Colts advance to the state playoffs with 133 yards rushing and one TD in a win over Viewmont. Brandon Blackwell had 108 yards in the loss for the Vikings.

ANTHONY PARKER, Granite: Slipped the Judge defense for 164 yards rushing but it wasn't enough for the Farmers.

COLLIN ASH, Cyprus: Racked up 133 yards rushing with a TD in a win over Woods Cross.

ZAN GERTSCH, West Jordan: Ran past Roy for 123 yards and two scores in Jags' win.

QUINN HAMPTON, Spanish Fork: Threw four TD passes and ran for one TD as in the Dons pasting of Payson. Teammate Joel Higginson caught two TD passes and returned an interception 48 yards for a score.

ROB KENDALL, Box Elder: Gained 237 yards on 16 carries with three touchdowns as the Bees stung Bear River. Had 175 yards and all three TDs on six carries in the first half alone. Nick Chournos scored three TDs and rushed for 198 yards in the loss for Bear River.

SIONE HAVILI, East: Rushed for 155 yards, including a 40-yard TD scamper to lead the top-ranked Leopards past Murray.

KELLY COOPER, Bonneville: Completed three TD passes and ran for another score as the Lakers put the Northridge Knights in a daze.

CHAD GRUNDY, Bingham: Rushed for more than 100 yards for the ninth straight time as the Miners clipped Copper Hills.

ZACH HANCUFF, Hunter: Racked up 163 yards on the ground as the Wolverines defeated Kearns. Teammate Papa Lomu contributed 116 yards and a TD on the ground.

SKY VIEW DEFENSE: Limited Logan to just 86 yards of total offense in 21-0 win.

JOSH ANDERSON, Clearfield: Ran past Layton with TD runs of 63 and 44 yards.

J.D. MAIR, Wasatch: Scored three touchdowns, two on the ground and one in the air, as the Wasps upset Emery.

NICK ESPINDOLA, Uintah: Crossed the goal line three times to lead the Utes past Park City.

CLINT GARDNER, Union: Linebacker racked up six QB sacks and finished with 15 unassisted tackles in a loss to Lehi.

DOUG JOLLEY and COLE CARTER, Dixie: Flyer duo blew past Hurricane Friday. Jolley passed for 250 yards and two TDs, while Carter amassed more than 200 all-purpose yards.

ADAM LARSON, Cedar City: Overpowered Pine View with 131 yards rushing and two TDs. Teammate Travis Searle added 107 yards to the winning effort.

BART BROOKS, Morgan: Turned nine carries into 147 yards and two TDs as the Trojans toppled Manti. Teammate Ryan Randall amassed 176 yards on seven pass completions.

AARIC ALLRED, Grantsville: Passed for 214 yards and 3 TD passes as the Cowboys blanked Millard. Teammates Greg Cole and Greg Bleazard each scored twice for Grantsville, while Allred and Cole each recorded INTs.

BRAD WESTON, Rich: Scored three TDs and finished with 174 yards rushing as the Rebels extended the state's longest current winning streak to 23 games - one away from the state record. Zane Groll added 183 yards.

MATT THORNTON, Provo: Paced Bulldogs past P.G. with 212 yards in the air and two TDs.

OREM DUO: Running backs Jon Barlow and Adam Leifson teamed for 312 yards rushing as the Tigers blanked Jordan.

LANE GARDNER, Timpview: Tossed one TD pass and ran for two scores to rally the Thunderbirds past Springville.

Soccer

JENNY JACOBS, Olympus: Scored the winning goal in overtime as the Titans defended their 4A state title Wednesday.

KELLY HELLEWELL, Bountiful: Kicked home the winning shootout goal that gave the Braves their first 5A state soccer title Wednesday. Caroline Putz added two goals in regulation and a shootout goal for Bountiful.

HALLIE WINTZER, Park City: Scored two goals in the Miners' semifinal win over Wasatch Friday. Jordan Krieger also added her second goal of the week.

MARY ANNE VANDERHOEF, Lehi: Netted two goals in a quarterfinal win over Dixie and added another score in a semifinal win over Pine View. Alisha Kolowich assisted on three goals in Friday's win.

MICHALAE MILLER, Pine View: Keeper recorded her 34th career shutout in a win over Uintah. Bobbie Bladen and Kristen Hinton each scored twice in the victory.

Volleyball

DEBBIE WHITE, Bingham: Setter dished out 22 assists in the Miners' win over Hunter.

ANNA MAY PACKHAM, Clearfield: Pounded out 12 kills for the Falcons in a losing effort to Fremont Tuesday.

MARY SORENSON, Taylorsville: Netted 11 kills, while teammates Heather Whetzel and Lucie Turkova added 10 kills each in the Warriors win over Copper Hills Tuesday.

NATALIE WHITTAKER, American Fork: 5A MVP netted 11 kills and five blocks in a win over Mountain View Tuesday.

KIM YAMADA, Timpview: Recorded 59 assists, while Renatha Gueiros added 15 kills in the T-Birds win over Pleasant Grove. Nicole Hamen had 15 kills for the Vikings.

KATHY MOUNARATH, Bonneville: Pounded out 10 kills to guide the Lakers past Layton Tuesday. Jaime Jensen added 31 assists in a win over Clearfield Thursday.

KATIE GRAVES, West Jordan: Strong defense recorded 17 kills as the Jaguars recorded their second win of the season.

ELIZABETH ENRICO, Wasatch Academy: Had 10 kills to help the Tigers advance in the Region 14 tournament.

SARA COLTON, Union: Had 13 kills and Roxy McBride added 12 more in the Cougars loss to Region 10 champ Lehi.

KARIANNE MCCREE and STEPHANIE JOHNSON, Box Elder: Standout duo each had 16 kills for the Bees in a tough loss to top-ranked Mountain Crest.

JULIA HOOD and NATALIE JANOVAK, Judge: Bulldog twosome combined for 54 kills in wins over East and Cyprus Thursday. Joey Wilkinson added 63 assists for Judge.

KATRENA ELLETT, Cyprus: Racked up 17 kills and six solo blocks in Pirates' win.
