At Las Vegas, Michael Pittman scored three touchdowns and rushed for 131 yards on 27 carries as Fresno State beat UNLV 34-23 Saturday to snap an eight-game road losing streak.
Pittman scored twice in the first half on runs of 24 and 2 yards, then added a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Bulldogs coach Jim Sweeney, who on Thursday announced his retirement at the end of the season, improved his career record to 199-151-4 in 32 seasons.
Air Force 34, Hawaii 7
At Colorado Springs, Beau Morgan accounted for 323 yards and three touchdowns to lead Air Force to a 34-7 victory over Hawaii in the Western Athletic Conference on Saturday.
Morgan, who left the game at the beginning of the fourth quarter, ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 131 yards and a touchdown as he continued a quest to become the first NCAA Division I player to run for a 1,000 yards and pass for 1,000 for a second straight season.
Morgan has rushed for 933 yards and passed for 741 in seven games.
Rice 48, Texas-El Paso 21
At El Paso, Rice quarterback Chad Nelson ran for 120 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night as the Owls rolled to a 48-21 Western Athletic Conference victory over Texas-El Paso.
The Owls (4-3, 3-1 WAC) scored on their first five possessions to build a 35-0 halftime lead over the Miners (2-5, 0-4), who surrendered 415 rushing yards. It was the Owls' third consecutive game with at least 400 yards rushing.

At Dallas, Ramon Flanigan threw for 316 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two scores Saturday night, leading Southern Methodist to a 52-31 Western Athletic Conference victory over New Mexico.
