Kent Sailor Seegmiller passed away the morning of October 25, 1996 after a courageous struggle with acute leukemia.

Kent was born May 13, 1920 in Kanab, Utah, to William West Seegmiller and Ada Pratt Seegmiller. Their family moved to Salt Lake City when Kent was five-years-old.Survived by his wife, Bonnie; four daughters, Linda Woolley, Vincy (Frank) Stringham, Bonnie Lee Geurts, and Patricia (Don) Kreis, 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jenor Whitelaw, Lorna Robinson, and two brothers, Garth (Florence) Seegmiller, Wan (Judith) Seegmiller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, West, Gail, Dan, Charlie, Pratt, and sisters, Ova, Zona, and LaRue.

Kent and Bonnie were married May 6, 1942, later their marriage was solemnized in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. They had been married 54 years.

He loved his family, the Gospel, and the great outdoors. He enjoyed trailering, camping, fishing and golfing. He was a man of dignity and integrity, a kind loving husband and father.

Service in the church included many callings; he was serving as Gospel Doctrine teacher when he became ill.

Employment included the Grazing Service, Ordinance, Veterans Administration, Federal Government Selective Service, and Taxman. He was a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army Division Headquarters.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Tuesday, October 29, 1996 at the Murray Hillcrest Ward, 495 East 5600 South. Friends may call one hour before the services at the church and at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 28, 1996. Interment will follow the service at the Murray City Cemetery.
