A Box Elder County boy was hit in the stomach while playing with three bullets Friday afternoon.

About 4:30 p.m. the boy, 10, and his brother found three .22 caliber bullets at their East Garland home and took them outside to discharge them by hitting them with a rock, according to a Box Elder Sheriff's dispatcher. The boys' names have not been released.During one of the discharges, the 10-year-old was hit in the stomach. The wound was not critical, and the boy was treated at Bear River Valley Hospital and released, the dispatcher said.
