The City Council is offering a special public comment period at all of its meetings.
Earlier this month, the council instituted a new feature at the beginning of its meetings that allows residents an official opportunity to express themselves."It's aimed at enhancing public awareness," City Manager Michael Moyes said.
Residents must fill out special cards at the start of the meeting. They can then have three to five minutes to address the council and mayor on anything that concerns them. Moyes said five people took the public speaking opportunity the first time it was offered.
