The New Yorker who was dubbed the Soup Nazi in a "Seinfeld" episode is still stewing over the epithet.
Al Yeganeh let Jerry Seinfeld have it when the comic visited him recently to apologize for the episode in which Yeganeh is portrayed as a sadistic soup-seller with the best recipes in town."For three minutes, I just kept cursing him and he just kept saying, `I'm sorry,"' Yeganeh said in Sunday's Daily News.
"I have talent. I have education," Yeganeh said. "That word should not be used for any serious person. It is never funny."
Yeganeh is serious about his reputation. Dozens of people lined up outside his midtown store one recent afternoon to order delicacies like crab bisque or corn chowder.
"My customers love me. They worship me," he said. "And I love them back."
